5 incredible games that should be remembered from this Indie World

This November 9, Nintendo held a conference dedicated to the next independent games coming to Switch. Against all odds, this entire Indie World has been punctuated by pleasant surprises and future hits that we already carry in our hearts. so here’s the 5 nuggets that you should not miss in the coming months.

Venba

Cooking is at the heart of this new adventure, which already promises to season our lives. Venba tells the story of an Indian girl who had just arrived in Canada in the 1980s… but through her culinary traditions. We discover the difficulties related to integration, to learning a new culture and this over several years, all with a gameplay with small onions which strangely reminds us of the first hours of Cooking Mama. A game to discover in spring 2023 on Switch.

Have a Nice Death

We move on to a much more dynamic French game since it is part of the roguelike tradition. Have a Nice Death makes you embody death itself, while it is on the verge of burnout in its own company. Your mission is therefore to remind your employees who is the boss, and sometimes the hard way is the most effective.

Present on the Paris Games Week stand last week, the title has ultra-dynamic gameplay that will undoubtedly delight fans of the genre (Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, etc). Find it on Switch March 22, 2023 and note that pre-orders are already open.

pepper grinder

Just as dynamic pepper grinder is an action-packed 2D pixel art adventure game. You take control of Pepper, who can only rely on her little drill to help her regain her lost fortune. Through both water and land, you carve your own path, digging through the elements and slaying enemies you find in your path. The game is planned for 2023 on the Nintendo console.

Dordogne

Another French game that deserves our full attention. If so far the games presented had pleasant graphics, Dordogne goes all out with its hand-painted decorations and its countryside picture atmosphere. In this narrative game, Mimi discovers a slew of secrets and puzzles to solve when her grandmother dies, which will take her straight back to her childhood memories. A touching adventure available in spring 2023.

White

We end with a co-op game that promises relaxing gaming sessions, even for two. White is, as its name suggests, a world only tinged with this (absence of) color… except for a single little fanatic who happens to be your traveling companion. Together, you will have to solve a few puzzles and help yourself from your environment to explore the enchanting universe of the game. February 14, 2023so it’s a perfect title for a romantic Valentine’s Day.
