Breaks and cracks forced the preventive evacuation of 2,000 students from Félix-Leclerc high school in Repentigny on Tuesday morning.

“This morning, following the appearance of certain signs of structural breakage in part of the Félix-Leclerc school, the management called the Fire Department of the City of Repentigny,” reported the Center de Affluents school services on its Facebook page.

As a preventive measure, following the inspection carried out by the firefighters, the students and staff were evacuated and gathered at the Gilles-Tremblay Sports Complex.

Structural analyzes will be carried out on Tuesday to ensure the safety of the building. Classes are suspended for the day, management said. Several students had already left the premises by school bus around 9:30 a.m.
