Capcom does its show and reveals a package of new features for the Resident Evil saga with (large) surprises!
Released over a year ago Resident Evil 8 will be entitled to treatment Gold Edition like its predecessor Resident Evil 7 a few years ago. With the arrival of this new version of the game, the horrific FPS from Capcom will be enriched with a slew of content that will delight fans of the title.
New game mode, new way to play and an extension of the main story, Ethan’s adventures are going to get a well-deserved facelift. One thing is certain, if you are a fan of Lady Dimitrescu, as many players have fallen under the spell of the “tall lady“After even the first announcement trailers, what Capcom has in store for you will make you dream.
Our turn to play the BIG baddies
Through a new game mode called The Mercenaries: Additional Ordersit will indeed be possible to embody the impressive Lady Dimitrescu to slice through your enemies with claws. From its 3 meters high and with a style worthy of a great lady, Capcom fulfills the expectations of fans who dreamed of being able to put themselves in the place of this woman with monstrous charm who knew how to conquer the entire internet.
In addition to this arcade-style mode which will derive well from the classic recipe of resident Evil, an extension of the game’s story will be added to the basic content to offer even more details about Ethan’s family. The beginnings have been revealed, but watch out for spoilers if you haven’t played Resident Evil 7 and 8!
The DLC Shadows of Rose will take place after the events of the base game and will feature Ethan’s now grown daughter. She will have to try to tame the powers with which she was born following the events of Resident Evil 7. She will then be able to enter into communion with the spirit of the virus of this episode and will make a surprising discovery: a young girl with the same appearance as her.
This extension will also mark the return of third person gaming for Capcom’s series of horror games. This new way of playing for Resident Evil 8 will also be implemented for the content of the basic game in order to be able to rediscover it from another angle.
The saga in the spotlight
Apart from these major new features for the latest installment of the license, Capcom’s presentation was also an opportunity for the studio to reveal more about other projects. The remake of Resident Evil 4revealed during Summer Game Fest was treated to an extended trailer presented by the game developers highlighting the gameplay of this new title.
In addition to this, versions next gen of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 have been announced for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and S. Suffice to say that Capcom is betting everything on this franchise which has been able to return to the front of the stage with quality games to the delight of fans of all kinds of horror. If you’re more of the type monster hunter where Dragon’s Dogma, more surprises await you in Capcom’s conference available just here.
