Chaudière-Appalaches | A dark vehicle in the Chaudière River



A vast operation is underway in Beauceville, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, to find a vehicle that would have sunk in the Chaudière River on Sunday. The presence or not of people in the passenger compartment is for the moment unknown.

The Sûreté du Québec was notified around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The event occurred in the area of ​​Lambert Avenue, a road that runs along the river, in Beauceville.

Police, firefighters and a team of divers were dispatched to the scene to try to find the vehicle. The operation is still ongoing, says Hélène Saint-Pierre, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
