Cyberpunk 2077 is back with a new game

The franchise is back, with a new Night City-themed board game.

Released in December 2020 after several years of waiting, the video game Cyberpunk 2077 had not really had the expected critical success. Quickly hoisted to the rank of bestseller, the title of CD Projekt Red had also been strongly criticized for its hazardous finishes, its countless bugs, but also for its policy vis-à-vis dissatisfied players. Two years later, the tornado subsided, and despite its complicated start, the video game blockbuster has established itself as a reference of the genre.

Cyberpunk 2077 is back

No wonder CMON Games, accustomed to bringing cult franchises like Scooby Doo, Teen Titans Go! or even the looney tunes, decides to tackle the license. The publisher announced this weekend the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night Citya board game inspired by the original video game that already promises to be as tough as its video game alter ego.

Playable solo and up to 4 players, for games of around 90 to 120 minutes, Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City is already shaping up to be a big game. Available for presale on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, contributions start at $110, and already promise a slew of figurines bearing the image of the characters from the license. Objective: face the rival gangs of Night City to become the most influential squad in the city.

With an aesthetic very close to the video game, the board game Cyberpunk 2077 already promises to satisfy fans of the license. The price is substantial, but the quality of CMON games is definitely no longer to be proven, nor the publisher’s seriousness in honoring its Kickstarter projects. To acquire it, simply go to the official Kickstarter page of the project. Please note that there are only nine days of funding left at the time of writing this article. It will therefore be necessary to act quickly.

On the delivery side, the board game Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City should arrive at its contributors in June 2023, just one year from now. France is eligible for delivery, but you will have to pay the minimum shipping cost of $50, as well as a game entirely in English.
