On the occasion of the international day of accessibility, Sony presents to us the options and parameters of God of War Ragnarök.
If there’s one game that Sony is still keeping very secret, it’s God of War Ragnarok. With only one trailer to its credit, and very little information on its history, its gameplay or even its release date, the title is nevertheless eagerly awaited by PlayStation players. Sony is coming back to us today with new information about it, and it’s still a pleasure, even if it’s not what we expected.
Players now have access to an overview of the accessibility settings of God of War Ragnarok, which should logically be a continuation of its predecessor. Sony reminds that all the options available in god of war (2018) will feature in the new game as well. In addition to these, the studio adds another batch, to reach the sixty parameters in total.
Priority audio and visual
Among them, there are many elements related to subtitles and text displayed on the screen. Players who feel the need can decide to activate the subtitles, adjust their size or even their color or even activate them for the description of cutscenes and game sounds. The same goes for the size of text elements or even icons present in-game.
At the visual level, you can also decide to adjust the contrast of the colors applied to the characters but also to the environments. You can choose to apply a color to each element of the game to differentiate them via the high contrast mode, new in God of War. Obviously, Sony does not intend to stop there and promises to reveal the rest of the parameters to us soon.
“We are committed to improving accessibility and customization for all of our players. We look forward to giving you more details on the categories of our accessibility features, such as combat/targeting aids, puzzle/mini-game aids, heads-up display changes, the camera, automatic object pick-up and more.”
A first trailer in audio description
For the occasion, Sony has also released its famous trailer in audio description, which you can watch on Youtube. now all that’s missing is the announcement of the release date of God of War Ragnarok, and we should be satisfied. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.
