The Harry Potter RPG originally planned for this year will finally arrive with a delay, but it’s for a good cause!
Bad news for wizards who were waiting for their acceptance letter for Hogwarts: the start of the school year will be later than expected. Indeed, the game teams have just announced the release date of the long-awaited title, but it is not the one we expected… Initially planned for a release at the end of 2022, fans expected to discover the Hogwarts of the 1800s on the occasion of the end of year celebrations.
It will finally be necessary to wait two more months before being able to get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy. The game from Avalanche Software will arrive on PlayStation, Xbox and PC on February 10, 2023. The development teams are obviously eager to deliver their title to us, but they “need a little more time to offer the best possible experience” have they announced in a tweet. It’s not the desire that we lack to launch a good old “accio Hogwarts Legacy” with a wave of a magic wand, but we doubt that it will work.
Hogwarts and wizards know how to be discreet
As the release date of the title approached, it gave very little news. A few days ago, exclusive development images were discreetly unveiled during a special conference. It was to wonder if the game was going to be ready in time, and a few days later, the bad news unfortunately falls.
Now that the date is set, the would-be wizards are no longer waiting in a vacuum, but the frustration is still felt. It is to be hoped that the game teams have some surprises in store for us to keep us waiting. See you in early 2023 to go on an adventure in the magical world of Harry Potter as we have never seen it.
