The latest in the series of hack’n slash signed Blizzard has just arrived, the opportunity to take stock of this new title.
Diablo Immortal had been talked about since its announcement. While the players awaited the announcement of a possible Diablo 4 which wasn’t yet official at the time, Activision Blizzard revealed a brand new project at Blizzcon 2018. A new Diablo installment was well and truly in the works, but that wasn’t what fans of the series hoped. The future of the license would continue on mobile, an announcement that did not fail to make noise. We still remember the man in the red t-shirt who then asked the panel presenters “is this an off season april fools prank?”.
The game will have come a long way over time, and four years after its announcement, it has finally landed on our smartphones, and even on PC! In order to find your way around more easily, we suggest that you take an overview of what the game has to offer and how to embark on the Diablo Immortal adventure today.
A cross-platform experience
Blizzard quickly understood after the Blizzcon disaster of 2018 that it was going to have to work twice as hard to succeed in convincing players with this new episode of Diablo. Now that Diablo 4 is officially in the works and some players have grown tired of the third installment of the license, this new game is the perfect opportunity to try to captivate fans of the license with a new game format.
Diablo Immortal is ultimately not just a simple mobile game since it also has the right to its own PC client downloadable directly from the Battle.net launcher. So don’t worry, if you don’t like to play on mobile but you want to discover this new title, which is intriguing to say the least, it is quite possible to do so from your personal computer without having to go through an Android emulator.
One of the major advantages of Diablo Immortal lies in the cross-platform experience it offers. Between cross-play and cross-progression, everything is done to allow you to move from one platform to another without worries and to be able to play with all your friends. After all, the charm of the series lies in multiplayer dungeon crawling and fierce PvP combat. To do this, you will need to link your Battle.net account to your application, and you can take your save game with you everywhere.
Both of course on PC and on mobile, it is also possible to enjoy the game with a controller for a gaming experience that is always more adapted to everyone’s needs and desires. However, it is still not expected that Diablo Immortal points the tip of its nose on consoles since controller support and console support are two very different things.
