Ice skating dog displays skills for charity in New York

Feb. 4 (UPI)– A rescue dog raised money for charity in New York by displaying an uncommon ability: ice skating.

Cheryl Delsangro, of Las Vegas, said she saved Benny, her 8-year-old Labrador retriever, from a kill sanctuary in Utah.

” When I contacted the shelter, I learnt it was his last day,” Delsangro informed WPIX-TV. “He was going to be taken down the next day, so I had actually plans made. as well as they pulled him. as well as I had him sent out to Las Vegas and I embraced him.”

Delsangro, a retired specialist number skater, stated she determined to try to show Benny to navigate the ice on custom-made skates.

“He’ll just work on the ice whenever he desires and also skate around after me as well as chase me and so he truly simulates it,” Delsangro informed WABC-TV.

Benny made his New York debut at Wollman Rink in Central Park, at which he flaunted his abilities to raise money for the Pet Vision Foundation.

“It’s truly a pity dogs don’t have as much look after their eyes, so we’ve gotten entailed with this. Benny takes a supplement,” Delsangro said.
