Crunchyroll has just revealed the release date of a particularly anticipated anime adaptation.
The year is looking promising for anime fans. After entertaining chainsaw demon enthusiasts with chain saw manthe Crunchyroll platform had officially announced the arrival of the animated adaptation of the action RPG NieR:Automata last February. Yoko Taro’s video game is currently in production, but should arrive next January.
According to Crunchyroll, the adaptation Nier: Automata Ver1.1a should keep a narrative relatively close to the original game. The author has confirmed the presence of some changes and new bias, but fans should find the special atmosphere of Square Enix’s game. Remember, however, that with 26 possible alternate endings on the title of 2017, the series will undoubtedly have to make some narrative choices to deliver a coherent story, but above all linear.
While the invasion of Earth by mysterious aliens and their machines has brought Humanity to the brink of extinction, the few humans still alive have taken refuge on the Moon, and are preparing their counterattack by building android soldiers. As a last hope, the new generation of YoRHa robots joins the Earth to try to save our species from certain death. In the game, it is thus possible to follow three of these anthropomorphic machines, while the Resistance begins to organize itself, and some machines now refuse to fight.
If you’ve never played this excellent video game, now is the time to catch up, especially since it’s available on Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, see you next month to discover the anime around the cult license. The year 2023 will also be an opportunity to discover the first seasons of Tomo-chan is a girl! and Buddy Daddies.
