James Bond | An Aston Martin DB5 used for stunts sold for nearly 4.5 million

(London) A replica of the Aston Martin DB5, which was used for the James Bond stunts No Time To Diewas sold on Wednesday for nearly three million pounds sterling – about 4.5 million Canadian dollars – at auction, announced the auction house Christie’s.

The proceeds from the sale of the car, whose price reached 2.922 million pounds sterling (4.3 million CAD), will be donated to associations, as will the funds from the sale of 24 other lots put up for auction. Wednesday during a special sale of objects to celebrate 60 years of James Bond.

At the same time, 35 other lots were auctioned online until October 5th.

This DB5 replica, an iconic 007 model, is one of eight examples specially designed and manufactured for filming the feature film made in 2021 and the only stunt car to date offered for sale by Aston Martin and EON productions, according to Christie’s.

Other items for sale include other cars, but also famous costumes and accessories related to the saga.
