January games are already leaking, only hits planned

Sony couldn’t find a better way to celebrate the new year. In January 2023, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will be treated to three fantastic games to dig into just after the holiday season. It’s still thanks to Dealabs that we learn about it well in advance, enough to put some balm in the heart of all gamers.

Lightsaber, Nuclear War and the Multiverse

The first game that subscribers will be able to discover is a hit like few others, we named Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In this Souls-like adventure title, you play as Cal, a reckless young man whose goal is to revive the Jedi order. While its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris due out in 2023, diving back into this extremely well-made game isn’t a bad idea.

The second title is Fallout 76, a multiplayer action game that puts the apocalypse at the heart of its narrative. After a merciless nuclear war, you are one of the survivors of shelter 76 and set off to discover the new world while worrying about your survival. If it suffered from a controversial launch, Bethesda’s game is now often improved through constant updates.

Finally, subscribers will be able to discover Axiom Verge 2, the sequel to a successful indie game that immerses you in the heart of a sensational multiverse. In this new Pixel Art adventure, you play as billionaire Indra Chaudhari in a metroidvania that borrows from the greatest of the genre.

As a reminder, the PlayStation Plus Essential is a subscription service offered by Sony on its consoles giving you access each month to free downloadable games, often three or four in number, and allows you to play online multiplayer games. The basic subscription is available at prices of €8.99 per month, €24.99 per quarter or €59.99 per year.

The Extra (400 PS4/PS5 games) or Premium (700 PS/PS2/PS3/PS4/PS5 games, streaming on PC, free trials) formulas are displayed at a price of €13.99 per month / €39.99 € per quarter / €99.99 per year for the Extra formula or €16.99 per month / €49.99 per quarter / €119.99 per year for the Premium formula.
