After three straight wins, Utah fell at home on Monday against Memphis on a basket from Jackson Jr at the buzzer. The series continues, however, for Phoenix, winner in San Antonio of his thirteenth consecutive game. Chicago, corrected at home by Indiana, is already losing its first place in the East to Brooklyn, which has not lost for three meetings and won Tuesday in Cleveland. For the second time in a week, Washington lost to Charlotte.
Jazz crunched by the Grizzlies on its floor. Utah, who remained on three straight wins, was showered at the buzzer (119-118) Monday night by Memphis. Back in the foreground for a few games, Jaren Jackson Jr, excellent (26 points, 8 rebounds, 2 interceptions, 2 blocks), crucified Rudy Gobert and his family on a three-point basket in the very last seconds despite the magnificent copy once again (23 points, 13 rebounds) from the French pivot, became in passing during this game with five more blocks added to his impressive collection (now 1,254) the third best blocker in the history of the franchise. “Gobzilla” would obviously have preferred to celebrate his arrival in the Top 3 with a victory. It missed.

For Phoenix, on the other hand, the series continues. Thanks in particular to Deandre Ayton, author of a double-double too (21 points, 14 rebounds), the Suns took, admittedly in pain, the upper hand over San Antonio (115-111) in Texas and aligned a thirteenth victory in a row while awaiting perhaps a fourteenth, Wednesday on the floor of Cleveland, where Brooklyn won there too with difficulty (117-112) Monday in the wake of a Kevin Durant still as valuable (27 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds). The Nets, who were also able to count on James Harden (14 points, 14 rebounds) and LaMarcus Aldridge, off the bench (21 points, 11 rebounds), thus resume control in the East in front of Chicago.

The Bulls had taken the lead the day before, but it didn’t last long, blame it on the correction (109-77) received against Indiana by Zach LaVine (17 points) and his people in front of their audience against the Pacers and a very inspired Diamantas Sabonis (21 points at 8 of 14 on shots, 11 rebounds, 4 assists). Symbol of this rout of Billy Donovan players, admittedly deprived of one of their best players at the start of the season Alex Caruso: Lonzo Ball, in the middle of a nightmare, did not return a single basket (0 point and 0 out of 7 on shots). LaMelo Ball, the youngest of the Ball family, had a much better night (28 points, 13 rebounds), with Charlotte. For the second time in two weeks, the Hornets made Washington drink the cup (109-103), this time on the floor of the Wizards. Logically elected MVP of the evening, Terry Rozier shone with a thousand lights. Not only, “Crazy” Rozier made a misfortune at long distance (8 out of 11 at three points) but he also offered himself the luxury of registering the basket (again by far) which ruined the hopes of Bradley. Beal (18 points) and his teammates.
