Miami regains home field advantage without Butler

Miami won 103-109 in Boston in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final thanks in particular to a great Bam Adebayo (31pts, 10rbds, 6pds) and therefore regained the advantage of the field at the Celtics. All while being deprived of Jimmy Butler in the second half.

The Heat got their revenge! Completely dominated at home by Boston in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference final (102-127), Miami won 103-109 at the TD Garden, in front of 19,156 fans, to regain the advantage of the field in this series. Even if the difference is not very high in the end, the Floridians still led this meeting from start to finish (47-62, mt), with a lead that reached +26 at the start of the second quarter. The C’s, completely missed their start to the match (18-39 in the first quarter), let the storm pass and ended up coming back little by little. Still trailing by fifteen points (72-87) at the start of the last quarter, they signed a 20-6 to return to -1 (82-93), but Miami gave the little boost it needed (0-7) to win this game.

Butler hit in the knee

Bam Adebayo was the great architect of this Florida victory, with 31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals on the clock. It must be said that the 24-year-old pivot had to take matters into his own hands, because the leader of the team, Jimmy Butler, could only play one half (8pts, 3rbds in 19min) due to inflammation of the right knee. To see if it was just a precaution (especially since Miami was well ahead at halftime) or if it’s more serious than that… On the side of the Celtics, already deprived of Robert Williams (knee), the fans also had some scares when they saw Marcus Smart (16pts, 7pds) then Jayson Tatum (10pts, 6rbds, 4pds) return to the locker room after shocks, but the two stars returned to the floor a few minutes later. However, that wasn’t enough, and the C’s were down 1-2 heading into Game 4, which will take place at TD Garden on Monday. A game they have a great interest in winning or the Heat will have the opportunity to conclude at home on Wednesday…
