Blizzard is recording impressive numbers for Overwatch 2, which has multiplied downloads for a month.
Say the launchOverwatch 2 was a success is an understatement. Blizzard has been literally in heaven for almost a month and so have players. After a few setbacks in the first hours, connection problems and account transfer problems, the shooter quickly found its feet even after its transition to free-to-play.
This event has also largely contributed to the spread of the game in homes. It’s been a month nowOverwatch 2 and Blizzard takes stock of its title, which has more than 35 million users. A record figure for the franchise, whose first 25 million were present in the first 10 days after the game was released.

The studio explains that “the community is deeply engaged, with Overwatch 2’s first month average daily player count more than twice that of its predecessor.“But the firm does not intend to stop there. After a flying start, the studio must now preserve its community and expand it as much as possible by reaching more players. He assures :
“Blizzard looks forward to delivering an ambitious schedule of regular seasonal updates for Overwatch 2 that will introduce new characters, maps, and modes, including the game’s highly anticipated PvE mode slated for 2023.”
Obviously, who says game service says content galore, and that ofOverwatch 2 promises to be substantial. On the other hand, Blizzard hopes that this new economic model will be beneficial for the company in the long and medium term. For its fourth quarter, the game was a significant source of revenue.
Despite some criticism in the first days of the game, it seems that the microtransactions system has made its way and has convinced players.
