Ubisoft unveils the gameplay of the mobile game The Division Resurgence just one week after its announcement.
Last week, Ubisoft announced the arrival of a new game The Division…planned for mobiles. baptized The Division Resurgence, the title today reveals some of its gameplay on the sidelines of its release in the coming months. This new trailer explores for nearly three minutes the mechanics of the game accompanied by explanations from one of the developers.
Just like its predecessors in the series The Division, Resurgence is an open world that transports you to a post-apocalyptic universe. The environment for this opus is located in Manhattan, in the heart of New York. In general, the gameplay seems extremely similar to any third-person shooter, with a ping system, mini map, or even crafting for equipment.
On mobiles, on the other hand, we see a lot more HUDs than on a console or PC game and everything does not yet seem very fluid at all levels. Despite this, Ubisoft manages to give us a great overview of what will be possible in The Division Resurgence once the game is in our hands.
However, do not take these first images at face value. Ubisoft warns that this is gameplay from the Alpha testing phase, so a lot of things are subject to change. The graphics as well as the animations or even certain elements of the scenery can still be improved, as can certain gameplay mechanics.
Ubisoft bets on free-to-play
The output of The Division Resurgence is not to be confused with this The Division Heartland, which is also a free-to-play title but this time planned for consoles and PC. He too still has no release date, so we don’t know which of the two we can discover first. Note that we are also awaiting news of the film The Division, which will feature Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain in the main roles.
