Capcom reveals a lot of information on Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village or even RE:Verse. Summary.

This October 20, Capcom held its famous Resident Evil Showcase, which usually offers us a flood of important announcements about the legendary horror game license. This year, the studio has gone all out and provided us with many details on upcoming content and even games. No new opus to be expected for the main franchise, but novelties concerning Resident Evil 4 Remake and RE:Pay.

True pillar for some, best game of the whole license for others, Resident Evil 4 marked a pivotal turning point for many horror fans and for the industry in general. This is why Capcom announced its remake several months ago and it is now one of the most anticipated titles. During the showcase, the firm shared two new trailers, the first presenting the gameplay and the second dedicated to the history of the game.

The studio also wants to be reassuring that the remake will “respecting the original game universe while implementing new ideas and cutting-edge graphics to reinforce the title’s core concepts. This will provide a new experience while retaining a sense of familiarity if you played the original. Resident Evil 4 newcomers and veterans alike will enjoy this new release.” As a reminder, Resident Evil 4 Remake is expected on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on March 24, 2023.

Third Person Resident Evil Village

Capcom also gave us news of Resident Evil Re:Versethe multiplayer game that the studio had promised to launch alongside Resident Evil Village, but which had fallen considerably behind schedule. This experience will indeed be offered to all holders of the latest opus in the franchise from October 28th. However, early access will be available from Monday, October 24 at 4 a.m. until Wednesday, October 26 at 8 a.m.

Finally, holders of Resident Evil Village will soon be able to take advantage of the extension DLC called “Extension Winters”, which sees the arrival of a new narrative chapter. This one is called “Ombres de Rose”. It will be integrated into the Gold edition of the base game, which will be marketed from October 28th. But today, you can rediscover the title in third-person view thanks to a demo of the campaign.
