On the night of Monday to Tuesday, in the conference semifinals, Miami and Phoenix both won Game 1 at home against Philadelphia (106-92) and Dallas (121-114) respectively. The Heat and the Suns therefore take the lead in their series.
If Boston and Memphis had failed at home on Sunday, Miami and Phoenix had a quieter start to the series. Indeed, this night, at the FTX Arena, Miami initially logically dominated Philadelphia (106-92). Deprived of Joel Embiid, the Sixers did not go the distance in Florida against the Heat, who could count on the return of Jimmy Butler (15 points and 9 rebounds). If the start was in favor of Erik Spoelstra’s players, it was the visitors who led at the break by one point (50-51). In the absence of their All-Star pivot, Tobias Harris (27 points and 6 rebounds), Tyrese Maxey (19 points) and James Harden (16 points and 9 rebounds) gave their all but fell harder. Indeed, on returning from the locker room, Miami put on a show in front of its audience, especially during the 3rd quarter won 30-21, to sign a first success without shaking in their room. For this, Tyler Herro (25 points and 7 assists) and Bam Adebayo (24 points and 12 rebounds) pulled out all the stops, before Game 2 scheduled for May 4, still in Florida.
