It’s almost time to go for the current PlayStation Plus subscription. From June 23, players on PS4 and PS5 will finally be able to discover three new formulas designed to compete with Xbox Game Pass. If until now we knew that Sony planned to give us access to hundreds of games, up to 700, we did not know yet what to expect… at least until now.

Indeed, Sony has just lifted the veil on the first list of games that will be available in the catalogs, and one thing is certain, the competition will be tough for Microsoft. From first-party games, to third-party games, to classics from previous PlayStation consoles, everything is there to please fans. Discover below the games that will be offered to you.

Before moving on to the official lists of games offered, Sony would like to inform its subscribers that the monthly update plan has been revised. Starting in June, subscribers to the current PlayStation Plus (which will become the Essential package) will receive a monthly update with new games coming every first Tuesday of the month. This aspect will still be available even with the more expensive plans. Extra and Premium subscribers will get an update every mid-month which will add new titles to the already well-stocked catalog, just like the Game Pass.

PS4 and PS5 games

For the moment, Sony has unveiled the third-party and proprietary games that will be added within the Extra and Premium (Deluxe in the United States) subscriptions. As we can see, this already gives us a wide range of very popular titles and for a good part of them very recent. Both in first and third party games, there are iconic licenses, and others a little less well known but still worth a detour.

With an Extra catalog which is supposed to reach 400 titles, and a Premium which must reach 700 games, we suspect that this overview is not yet complete. We imagine that indie games as well as potentially other big franchises will be added along the way, but that’s all we have access to today.
