Victorious over the Suns for the second game of the series played on their floor (111-101), the Mavericks equalize with two wins everywhere.

The Mavericks are still in the race. If they lost twice in Illinois, Luka Doncic’s teammates handed the Suns a second loss in two games in Texas. The Phoenix franchise, miffed by their Game 3 loss, started the game strong, racing in the lead for the first three minutes. It was then that the Mavs started the machine with a Luka Doncic first scorer then passer (26 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists). Gradually, the gap between the two teams grew to reach a maximum of 17 lengths at the start of the second quarter. Without panicking, the Suns of Devin Booker (35 points, 7 assists) have changed the trend but could not return to less than six points. More solid, the Dallas players reached halftime with a margin of twelve lengths. However, the Suns returned to the floor with the bit in their teeth. Jae Crowder (15 points, 6 rebounds) initiated a 7-0 entry to put pressure on the Mavs. First back to five points in this series, Phoenix sent a thrill through the American Airlines Center with a gap reduced to four small points at the very end of the third quarter. But, Luka Doncic finding passing lines in the Suns defense, the Mavericks capitalized on better three-point success (45.4% against 36%), with Reggie Bullock (7 points) and Jalen Brunson (18 points) as artificers, to take cover late in the game. Dallas won by ten small points (111-101) and completely revived the series before returning to Arizona for Game 5.
