The most popular containment game will be adapted into a physical version

The most popular containment game will be entitled to its physical adaptation.

Unknown to the general public a few months ago, wordle quickly established itself as a huge success with Internet users. It must be said that in full confinement, the vocabulary game offering a single challenge per day had all the cards in hand to explode on social networks. Since then, illegal copies have multiplied, as well as encrypted versions, sung or even based solely on insults. More recently, the New York Times offered the title to add it to its catalog of paid games.

This time, wordle will be adapted into a board game. the New York Times has partnered with publisher Hasbro, and has just announced a physical version called Wordle: The Party Game. The concept will remain much the same as in the original title: a player or a player writes a secret word, and the others must guess it in six tries. Logically, whoever guesses the word in the fewest tries will win the most points.

Comes with three answer charts, erasable markers and a series of transparent green and yellow tiles for easy play, game board adaptation wordle will retail for $19.99, and has just opened for pre-orders at most online retailers. The first deliveries should take place in October.

happy birthday wordle

With this unexpected adaptation, wordle celebrate the first anniversary with dignity of the release of its online game. Not bad for a title initially offered on a browser to pass the time during successive confinements. Remember that the game should not be the only one to go down in history: just a few days ago, it was the music streaming giant Spotify which announced that it had bought Heardle, the blind-test game, for a still unofficial project, but which promises to set the mood in our summer evenings.
