This ViewSonic portable monitor lets you game anywhere

Here is an announcement that may appeal to nomadic players. ViewSonic has just introduced its new VX1755 monitor, a 17.3-inch portable gaming screen which promises to accompany the players in their slightest movements. The manufacturer based in Walnut, California, United States, even wants to open “a new era in the world of gaming” with its new screen.

The VX17755 is definitely targeting gamers with its 17-inch IPS panel displaying in 1080p ; and a refresh rate of 144Hz. ViewSonic mentions a response time of 4 ms and specifies that its screen supports the technology AMD FreeSync Premium. On the other hand, it will be necessary to be satisfied with a 250 cd/m2 brightness which risks showing its limits outdoors. However, this screen can accompany mobile, PC or console players by slipping into a bag. ViewSonic highlights the finesse of its new screen, with a total thickness of 17 mm and its weight of less than a kilo. The VX1755 should fit in most travel bags or carry-on bags.

The display also includes a stand that can be adjusted from 0 to 62 degrees, reminiscent of the Switch’s approach. The manufacturer also mentions the Nintendo console, even if the latter does not take advantage of all the specificities of the screen by being limited to 60 Hz. In addition to this integrated crutch, there are two front speakers and a mini socket 3.5mm jack. The connection includes one mini-HDMI port and two USB-C ports with bi-directional power. It will be possible to power the screen via a compatible device, or from the included AC adapter or a battery.

Oriented towards gamers, the VX1755 is also designed for play multimedia content or workr. It joins ViewSonic’s range of devices; which already includes 16-inch products such as the TD1655, VG1655 or VA1655 monitors.

ViewSonic announces that the VX1755 will be available “during June” at many retailers, at the price of 359 euros.
