The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions finally offer a free trial on the other side of the Channel.
Since June 23, Sony has offered its competitor to Xbox Game Pass in the form of two new formulas for PlayStation Plus. The Extra and Premium offers allow access to a huge catalog of games ranging from the PlayStation 1 to the PlayStation 5 and even the PSP. But although these subscriptions offer enticing content, it is completely normal to want to try them before deciding.
Unfortunately, that was not possible… Until now! At the request of the players, Sony has just implemented a seven-day free trial in the UK for the Extra and Premium formulas allowing you to discover the functionalities before being debited with the monthly fees of €13.99 or €16.99 depending on the offer selected. So it’s a safe bet that this opportunity will come to point the tip of its nose in our green regions very soon.
How does this trial period work?
To be able to access this free trial offer, you will obviously have to meet a few criteria. According to our colleagues fromEurogamer, you must have a PlayStation account currently not subscribed to PS Plus to try out the Extra and Premium offers. Indeed, an account that currently has an Essential subscription will not be able to obtain the seven days offered by Sony.
If the profile is eligible, simply go to the subscription tab on your console or on the PlayStation website to set up a subscription plan. Be careful though, the debit of the subscription takes place automatically at the end of the trial period: you must therefore be extra vigilant to avoid unconsented expenses.
With the arrival of the highly anticipated stray in the Extra and Premium offers of the PlayStation Plus, the activation in France of these trial periods would be a real boon to find something to do away from the heat waves of the days to come.
