Activision has the battle royale market in its sights, still dominated by Fortnite and PUBG. The publisher has a strategic map in its game, that of Call of Duty of course! The Warzone version, released in 2020 on PC and consoles, will finally be launched in its mobile version.

iOS and Android players will soon be able to pit themselves against each other in the Call of Duty universe with Warzone Mobile, the smartphone version of the battle royale released in March 2020 on Windows and home consoles. Pre-orders have started on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store, with the game (which will be free) slated for May 15.

1 against 120

The game was announced last September, with Activision launching a beta test phase two months later for Australian players to test the infrastructure and fine-tune the in-app purchase system. Because of course you have to expect cosmetics and other items to buy, like the original game. A Battle Pass will also be offered to benefit from exclusive items and skins.

After each battle, the player earns XP points with which he will get upgrades for his equipment. The number of fighters is fixed at 120 on a map that shrinks over time. All those who have rubbed shoulders with a battle royale in recent years will not be out of place! The map in question will also be Verdansk, the original and emblematic map of the first Warzone inspired by the city of Donetsk.

Waiting for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is available for download, Activision is looking to increase pre-orders by offering gifts to all players who register. The counter already exceeds 25 million, which unlocks special weapons and especially the emblematic Ghost. A level of 35 million will allow you to obtain the Shoot House.
