We Print First. We Write Second.
Media World is a 3D printing resource built on actual bench time โ not press releases, not spec sheets copied from a manufacturer's page.
How This Started
Media World grew out of a garage full of half-finished prints and a growing pile of notes on what actually worked. After enough failed calibration prints, burnt-out hot ends, and hours spent parsing conflicting advice online, it became clear that most 3D printing content falls into one of two traps: it's either too surface-level to be useful, or so technical it assumes you already know the answer.
We built Media World to sit in the middle โ reviews backed by real print hours, troubleshooting written from genuine failures, and settings guides that have actually been run through a slicer and a printer before being published.
What We Cover
Five sections, one standard behind all of them: does it actually hold up under real use?
Our Testing Setup
What's actually on the bench when we run a review.
Who Writes This
Jordan handles most of the testing and writing on Media World, pulling from an engineering background and years spent taking printers apart, fixing them, and pushing them past their rated specs to see where they actually break.
Editorial Standards & Corrections
We update when we're wrong. Firmware changes, price shifts, and discontinued models happen constantly in this space. When we learn a guide or review is outdated, we update it and note the revision date.
We don't accept pay-for-placement reviews. Manufacturers can send us hardware to test, and we'll disclose that when it happens, but no payment or free product has ever bought a rating.
Spot something wrong? If you catch an error in one of our guides, tell us. We'd rather fix it than leave it published.
What We Stand By
Questions About Media World
How do you decide what to review?
Mostly reader questions and what's actually selling well. If a printer or filament keeps coming up in comments and forums, it goes on the list.
Do you accept sponsored posts or paid reviews?
No. We'll test a unit a manufacturer sends us, and we'll say so, but the review itself follows the same rubric as anything we bought ourselves.
How often is content updated?
Buying guides get revisited every few months since pricing and availability shift often. Technical guides get updated whenever something material changes, like a major slicer update.
Can I suggest a topic or ask for a specific review?
Yes โ that's genuinely how most of our review queue gets built. Reach out through the contact page.
Still Stuck on Something?
